My name’s Jon White and I served as a Captain with 40 Commando Royal Marines on Operation Herrick in Afghanistan.
When out on patrol I stepped on an improvised explosive device and the impact was devastating.
I lost both my legs, and my right arm, and was forced to leave service.
So far I’ve had 17 operations on my road to recovery and my transition to civilian life wouldn’t have been possible without the help of charities.
That’s why I support the Veterans’ Lottery.
If you have a card like the one I’m holding, it means you are a Veterans’ Lottery player and that tells the world you are playing a crucial role in helping veterans in need.
To date, the Veterans’ Lottery has funded projects to take homeless service men and women off the street and into safe shelter; the lottery has also supported veterans with mental health problems such as PTSD; and it has also funded work for veterans with physical disability as well as giving to projects that help children who have lost parents in service.
If you want to play your part in offering veterans in need a lifeline, as well as standing the chance to win thousands of pounds every month, there’s only one choice. Sign up to the Veterans’ Lottery today… together we are stronger.
